Tuipate Mubiay, coordinator of academic services ELL at CCV-Winooski has been collecting stars lately. Earlier this year he received a Rising Star Young Alumni award from Johnson State College, and on April 4, 2012 he received a 2012 New England Educational Opportunity Association (NEOA) Rising Star Award at an Achiever Luncheon featuring a keynote by Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.

Mary Lothrop, coordinator of academic services at CCV-Winooski and a co- chair of the Science and Allied Health curriculum committee, has been named director of CCV’s recently awarded U.S. Department of Labor Community College Career Training (C3T) grant program.
Chara Vincelette-Perocchi has joined CCV in a newly created position, Student Resources Advisor for Veterans. She will support the veterans’ advisors currently at each of the 12 academic centers, but a special focus of this part-time position is to help Vermont veterans navigate the complicated system of agencies and resources statewide.
