Happy Birthday, CCV!

Former CCV president and VSC chancellor Tim Donovan, founding CCV president Peter Smith, and current CCV president Joyce Judy at CCV's 50th birthday party Wednesday at the State House.

CCV’s story began fifty years ago, among a small group of visionaries with the radical idea that everyone, regardless of background or circumstance, should have the opportunity to go to college.

The Community for Opportunity

Robyn Bradley is completing her associate degree in liberal studies at CCV and plans to transfer to Castleton University.

As my final semester draws to a close, I can now reflect and say confidently that being a part of the CCV community, I have learned to see myself as part of a larger world. Going forward, I can apply the many life lessons that I’ve learned here at CCV to my personal character, my future education, and my future career.

CCV Honors Veteran and Military Students with Service and Support

Kyle Aines is a U.S. Army veteran and CCV's associate director of veteran and military services.

Kyle Aines is a U.S. Army veteran who served two tours in Iraq. Today, he’s still serving others in his role as associate director of veteran and military services at CCV, where he spends his days helping fellow veterans.

Giving Back: Veterans Town Halls Encourage Sharing and Listening

“I’m not comfortable at all speaking to people.” Sandy Combs addressed a crowded auditorium at Saint Michael’s College’s McCarthy Arts Center on Sunday afternoon at one of Vermont’s Veterans Town Halls, community forums that aim to bridge the divide between veterans and the friends and neighbors they served.
