CCV wasn’t able to hold its commencement in person this year, but the College is pleased to announce the graduates who have been selected as student speaker and as recipient of this year’s leadership award.
CCV’s Student Leadership Scholarships are awarded annually to one student from each of the College’s 13 academic centers. Each $1000 award is given in recognition of exemplary leadership demonstrated through academics, volunteerism, and community engagement.
Family was a powerful theme at Friday’s Leadership Luncheon at CCV-Montpelier. Despite last week’s storm, students, staff, and family members traveled from all corners of the state to gather for the annual luncheon with President Joyce Judy.
For Shanna LaFlamme and Tracy Moyer, leadership starts with listening. Both are dedicated to helping their neighbors face mental health and substance abuse issues, and they say that often the most effective way to do that is by going back to the basics.
On Thursday, 13 students received CCV Leadership Scholarships during a luncheon with President Joyce Judy. Students, family members, and CCV staff gathered at the Montpelier campus for lunch and an award ceremony.
