Celebration of the Arts
On Friday, December 8th, the Rutland center held its biannual Cafe CCV, a showcase of different visual and performing arts classes held at the center. In Winooski, the CCV Guitar 1 class and the Community Chorus held a musical performance. And at the Montpelier center, three different art classes were highlighted in an end-of-semester art show.

Seeing More: Field-Based Courses Offer New Perspectives
Many of CCV’s course offerings have a field component, taking students out of the classroom and into the Vermont landscape. This summer, students and faculty from Forest Ecology, Landscape in Art, and Natural History of Vermont reflect on the value of bringing education outside.

Rutland’s Café CCV Celebrates Student Artists
Café CCV, a biannual showcase of student artwork, was held at CCV-Rutland on December 9th. Over 70 students participated, displaying paintings, drawings, stained glass, ceramics, photography, and masks, and performing stand-up comedy.
Full Circle: Two CCV Grads on Making Records, Making Community, and Making a Life
CCV grads Justin and Randi-Lynn Crowther own and operate Burlington Record Plant, where pressing vinyl records has become a means of creating community.
